Dear Alumni and Nominated Members,

Greetings from Your Home in the Mountain!

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all of you who submitted nominations for the Father Van Memorial Gold Medal this year. The overwhelming support and voting from our alumni community is a testament to your dedication and commitment to keeping the North Point spirit alive.

After careful consideration of the nominations and a thoughtful jury discussion, we are pleased to announce that this year’s Father Van Memorial Gold Medal will be awarded to Mr. Ashok Sadwani. His dedication and commitment to North Point are truly inspiring, and we are proud to honour him with this prestigious award. Mr. Ashok exemplifies the Jesuit maxim of being “a man of others” and truly embodies the spirit of “standing like men to each other as onwards through life we go.” His strong connection to the North Point community in Darjeeling has remain steadfast, and his frequent visit to the school are a testament to his enduring love for the institution and his belief in the quality of education imparted here.

Not only has Mr. Ashok continued to make a significant impact on the North Point community, but his selfless generosity in sharing his talents, time and resources has also been a shining example of how one person’s efforts can bring about positive change. His contributions are a powerful reminder of the values we hold dear at North Point.

We acknowledge his sterling efforts in being a vital link for alumni scattered across the world, and we salute his organisational abilities in coordinating global alumni gatherings. Additionally, Mr. Ashok has been instrumental in setting up the newly formed GNPAA (The  Global North Point Alumni Association) and the interactive website, which will serve as a valuable resource for the alumni for years to come.

Once again, we thank each of you for your participation and nominations, and we look forward to celebrating this recognition with the entire North Point family.
